Super Smash Bros Ultimate – Bigger Than Ever Before
Ultimate Nintendo Direct Presentation on Super Smash Bros has evoked mixed responses in many aspects, but no one can deny that it is bigger than ever. Let’s check all the major updates!
Super Smash Bros Ultimate Quick Updates
While suggesting to you which Nintendo Games you should play this summer, we remind you of another one coming, Super Smash Bros Ultimate! Here’s the major updates:
- Features all Super Smash Bros character so far
- Many new Fire Emblem characters
- 103 stages + Battlefield & Omega form taking the total to 300 stages. Yes, you read that right.
- 900+ soundtracks
- New Castlevania characters
- Addition of King K. Rool from Donkey Kong
What we loved
One of the most exciting updates for us Castlevania finally coming to Super Smash Bros. The moves of both Simon & Richter seemed really impressive. But what is most thrilling is the appearance of Dracula. Nintendo did not mention under what circumstances will the Dracula appear and that’s what is the most exciting.
The two new stages – Dracula’s Castle from Castlevania & Donk City Hall stage from Super Mario Odyssey seemed like perfect additions. While Dracula’s castle seemed dark & filled with scary monsters, Donk City hall gave a groovy & fast-paced vibe, which got us really excited.
Nintendo also announced the Stage Morph option, which lets you select 2 different stages to transition between. I am imagining morphing Dracula’s castle & Donk City Hall!
The Tourney mode will let you play with up to 32 players, we will not be surprised if Super Smash Bros Ultimate becomes the ultimate party game ever with this update
The setup of Sudden Death mode is such that it will have the camera zoom in as you fight to create a sense of urgency and releasing a whole lot of endorphins, I believe.
What we did not like
The game seems to have too many Fire emblem players in it for now, while it might be nice but it seems like it is going to bring too many similar characters in the game.
And while the game is bigger than ever, at some point it got a little overwhelming to watch all the new things Nintendo is introducing. It feels like too much of a good thing. There are so many updates that we can’t even possibly write about them all in this blog.
It seems like Nintendo has put everything they could think of in this game and we do believe that the game has huge potential and might even become a console seller for Nintendo. If I did not already have a Switch, I would be definitely be thinking of buying one.
But the new release does put a big question out there; Is this it? We can’t help but wonder if Nintendo is trying to throw a giant farewell party for one of our favorites series?
Tell us what do you think?
