Call of Cthulhu: What to Expect?
In this RPG, you will don the role of a private investigator, Edward Pierce who is based in New England. Pierce ends up going to Darkwater Island to investigate for the murder of a family. As you start investigating the murders you will dive into a nightmarish world of the occult, conspiracies, cultism & cosmic horrors. You can expect creepy packages, asylums, underground caves, dead whales, creepy residents of the island, squirmy tentacles & lot more of horror this Halloween.
Call Of Cthulhu: Gameplay
In this RPG, you will be using your interaction with other humans (or non-humans) around you, looking for clues inanimate objects to solve the mystery more than weapons or fighting.
Solving the murder mystery will require you to build on your knowledge of occult, psychology, medicine, eloquence & strength. If you don’t, then you might face trouble making correct decisions or trying to get what you want from other NPCs or your general environment. As the game will proceed, you will realize that many clues will need knowledge of occult or psychology to be able to crack them and move forward in the game.
The biggest challenge, it seems, will be dealing with the crippling insanity that will grip you as you face multiple horrors in the game. A great war veteran & alcoholic, Pierce already had a fragile mind and it will be on you to handle these horrors in a way that Pierce can deal with this mystic world & all the chaos around to solve the Hawkins mystery. However, we don’t have enough information about Cyanide’s sanity meter, but their introductory text on the official website does hint that some amount of insanity will be needed to proceed further in the game.
But some truths only reveal themselves to a mind that lets them in.
